Nashville Star Lacks Talent!!!

Photobucket
I can't believe that these people are the most talented "country singers" in America. I put country singers in quotations because saying that there country singers is a stretch. It seems like they are contestants who are probably American Idol rejects. I'm most dissappointed in Coffey Anderson. I first learned about Coffey while searching on YouTube for different songs. I found him to be really good and I was excited to hear and vote for him. But then, I heard him. He sucks live. He talks way too much and he always wants people to sing with him. He sang Rihanna's song Umbrella on the show last week which by the way is in no way a country song. There is this one guy, Tommy Staley, who is in the Navy. I know that they held auditions on aboard a ship, once again this was the best they could find. It's pathetic and it's clear that none of these singers will make in country music and I also think that it's crazy that American Idol can produce better country singers ie; Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Josh Gracin, Bucky Covington and Kristy Lee Cook who was on American Idol this year is probably going to have a good career in country music. Below is Coffey Anderson singing Umbrella on YouTube and then him singing on Nashville Star, notice the differnce.

Old School Jam of the Week

Hey!!! Updates are happening slowly.

So this weeks OSJW is probably going to make me appear a bit narrasistic but how could I not like a song with my namesake. This song is actually pretty catchy.

Updated Color Scheme

Hey I updated the color scheme of the blog but don't get used to it. I just got tired of seeing black and I had to change it, so enjoy it while it last.

AC 360

Hey Everyone!!! Updates are coming very soon (there are some things that I just haven't had the heart to discuss yet, case in point, The Lakers), but while you wait you should check out this blog AC 360. If you know anything about me, you know that I love politics and news in general. This blog has some very interesting and informative items. Not just form Anderson Cooper but from a whole host of people not just writing about politcs but other stuff too. Even though I'm a democrat they do have some republican contributers and some times their entries can be intriguing also.

Old School Jam of the Week

Okay I know this is late but life happens. So this song is a song that my friends and I would sing all the time and we would imitate this group. I was such a huge fan, that I even had, well I still do, the movie. This is the most recent Old School Jam of the Week.

My new favorite song of the moment

The name of the song is Washed By the Water and it is by a band called Needtobreathe. I was watching the Gospel Music Channel and saw this video and instantly fell in love with the lyrics and they have stuck in my head especially the chorus.

Even when the rain falls
Even when the flood starts rising
Even when the storm comes
I am washed by the water

Fired Up, Ready to Go!!!

Paul "The So Called Truth" Pierce is a phoney!!!

Last night Pierce went down with a so called knee injury. He deserves an Oscar or at least an Emmy for the performance he put on. He grabbed his knee, yelling and crying as if he were in pain. He then had to be carried off the floor and was placed in a wheel chair. A minute and 45 seconds latter he comes skipping out of the locker room to the Rocky theme song. If you're in that much pain you don't come back into the game in such a short period of time and not even have a limp. Good acting Paul Pierce you just proved you really are from the land of stars.

Okay so here is the second installment of the Old School Jam of the Week. I first heard this song when my dad played this singer's greatest hits album while we on road trip to somewhere. I actually liked all the songs on the album but this one was and still is my favorite.
